Holi Festival 2020 | Holi 2020 is the religious festival of Hindus.

Holi 2020 is the religious festival of Hindus. It is one of the most important festivals in India just like Diwali, Dussehra etc.

When is Holi 2020 ?

Holi 2020 is on Tuesday 10th March and Holika Dahan is on Monday 9th March. 

Holi is known as the festival of colors celebrated every year in the month of March or Falgun all over India. Holi is the festival of joy and happiness which spread real color and pleasure in the life of everyone.  People try to color each other with abeer, gulal and other splashes of colors. People celebrate Holi with their neighbours, relatives, friends and well-wishers.   Those who celebrate this festival, wait for it every year eagerly to play with colors and have delectable dishes.

Children enjoy the festival as they throw water filled balloons at passersby and if anybody stares.. they have a ready answer, "Bura na mano Holi hai...". Besides they have their water missiles, called Pichkari to drench the person from some distance and escape further drenching.

In some states there is a tradition of braking a pot full of buttermilk which is hung high in the street. A group of boys make human pyramid and one of them break the pot. All this while womenfolk throw buckets of color and water on them and sing folk songs.



Importance of Holi 

Holi has equal importance to all people but is has more importance for Hindus of India because the domestic name Hlika had burnt to ashes on this day, which was celebrated by all Hindu in happiness. And from that day onward it started begin celebrated as Holi every year. 
This festival fills passion and enthusiasm in people. This ends the distance between people and increases love. People celebrate this festival with friends, relatives and family with great enthusiasm.
